A note from the evangelist - Rev. John Armstrong

It is with a great sense of joy that I will be coming [DV] to Markethill Free Presbyterian Church to conduct the Gospel Mission.  There is no greater delight than to be able to tell others of the death and resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ.  Christ died and rose again that we might have eternal life through trusting in Him alone for salvation. That’s the message I will be seeking to proclaim at every meeting during the campaign. I can preach this Gospel from personal experience having been saved on 15th November 1979.
Salvation is real - I and many others have experienced it in our lives.   Salvation is a necessity for the Bible says that we must be born again.  Salvation through a personal faith in Christ is what I would like you to have.
Please join with us in the Mission. You will be made most welcome.

Rev. John Armstrong

About the evangelist

The Rev. J. Armstrong was brought up just outside the village of Broughshane in Co. Antrim. His school days and teenage years were spent with very little thought of God nor the things of the Lord. He did not attend any church. However he was invited to a mission in Ballymena Free Presbyterian Church where he heard the Word of God preached. Although only attending on one occasion, the Lord began working in his heart, and a few months later he came to Christ in his own home. After working as a Livestock Auctioneer in Cullybackey for a number of years, he felt the call of God into the ministry. After completing his studies in the Whitefield College of the Bible, he was ordained in 1995. He is currently ministering in the town of Antrim.
